Video On Demand and Pay Per View

1. How do I order a Pay Per View event?

If you would like to record an event on your DVR you MUST purchase it through your FiOS TV. Please tune to channel 1000 (SD) or channel 1001 (HD) and follow the prompts to make your purchase there.

If you are getting an error message when you try and purchase a Pay-Per-View event, please use your remote to channel up a few channels and then return to the channel you were on. That should clear the error and allow you to make the purchase.

To order a Pay Per View (PPV) event, you first must navigate to the PPV content that you want to order. You can do this in a couple of ways:

Select a PPV Event by Upcoming Shows or Search

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote control.
  2. Use the Arrow buttons to highlight Settings and press OK or Select.
  3. Select Pay Per View.
  4. Select either Upcoming Shows or Search by Content Type.
  5. Follow the onscreen prompts for more information on the PPV event and to place your order.

Select a PPV Event through the channel listings

If you know the channel where the PPV event will air, you can navigate to that channel and select Watch to order the event.

Important: If you have Parental Controls enabled, you may have to enter your PIN to view or purchase PPV events.

I tried to order a PPV event through the IMG but it wouldn't let me

There are several reasons why you may not be able order a PPV event. To troubleshoot the cause in your case, see

2. Having trouble ordering an On Demand or Pay Per View program?

There are two main reasons why you may have a problem ordering an On Demand or Pay Per View program:

  • Technical Issues
  • Problem with your account

Technical Issues

Account Issues:

If resetting your equipment did not resolve the problem, there could be an issue with your account. Typical account issues are:

  • If you subscribe to Private Viewing, your FIOS TV service must not be viewable from any customer service or other public area. All Private Viewing customers who wish to enable PPV/On Demand, must go to MY Business Portal to review, and accept the conditions for Private Use Only. If you do not already have a MyBusiness Portal Account, you must first register an account.
  • If you have televisions for your business in areas which are viewable by your customers (clients, patients, patrons) or the public you are not permitted to order or view Pay Per View (PPV) and subscriptions or fee-based On Demand.
  • Your PIN needs to be reset.
  • There is a billing issue with your account preventing you from ordering non-free On Demand or PPV content.
  • You are attempting to watch an On Demand program from a premium channel in which you are not a current subscriber.

3. Ordering an On Demand or PPV event on one TV then watching it on another TV

If you order a On Demand or PPV from your Set-Top Box (STB) and then want to watch the program from another STB in your home, you can order it again if necessary on the TV where you want to watch it. You will not be double charged for the program providing it is the exact program in the same video format.
